About this service

This is your sexual health e-service that provides free and easy access to sexual health testing via the internet. This means that you can order a test to be sent to your home or collect a test kit in a physical setting, take your samples and mail back.

We can provide testing for a range of sexually transmitted infections including chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C via samples you can collect from the comfort of your home. The specific tests and/or services provided are determined by your responses to a series of questions you’ll be asked when ordering.

This service is powered by Diagnostics Your Way. Our team have many years’ experience of home testing services – our leadership includes physicians who oversee the safety and reliability of our tests.

Through our innovative digital tech and our own expert laboratory, we make sure sexual health is a convenient, reliable, and normal part of looking after your health, getting results back to you quickly and securely.

How it works?

First, you’ll usually answer some simple questions to establish what tests are right for you. You’ll need to provide some basic information about yourself, and then you can order a home collection test kit. If you don’t see a questionnaire, don’t worry, not all of our partners ask for this.

Then a home testing kit will be dispatched to you by post.

When this arrives, you will collect your sample(s) by following the instructions in your kit. Video Instructions are also available. What sample you provide will be dependent upon what tests you require, but will be one, or a combination, of the following:

  • A urine sample
  • A vaginal swab
  • A finger prick blood sample
  • A rectal (butt) swab
  • A throat swab

Once you have collected your samples, you simply post your kit back to us – the address back to our lab is pre-labelled.

Once it is received at laboratory, your samples will be tested, and results will be communicated back to you. This will be done confidentially via our user portal.

If you need further treatment or support, you’ll be given all the information you need.

We’re here to support you every step of the way; detailed instructions on every step of the process can be found in the section of this website.

What tests will I be offered?

We offer testing based on your responses to questions that we ask you when you are ordering the kit. All individuals eligible for the service will be offered appropriate testing based on their answers. Some higher risk individuals may be offered wider testing.

Is your testing service secure?

Yes. Diagnostics Your Way, the company that operates this site, hosts all its services within a highly secure, encrypted, hosting environment. This has been specifically developed to standards designed to comply with the HIPAA frameworks and medical guidelines.

Is the service discreet?

Yes. Our test kits are discreetly packaged in a box and a bag that includes the address and postage. There is no information on the package that identifies it as an STI testing kit.

Kits are sent by mail and will fit through a standard mailbox, so you don’t need to worry if you’re not home when it arrives.

Is the service completely confidential?

Yes, your results are completely confidential, but not anonymous. Positive test results for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea and hepatitis C legally must be reported to the state. However, we will never share your details or test results with anyone else. We don’t contact your physician and the tests and results won’t appear on your medical records. If you need treatment, you will need to share your results to get the treatment you need.

What happens if I need a prescription?

If you have already been taking drugs prescribed by your home doctor, please bring them with you for clarification or possible drug interactions and correlations with the new condition.
